QuBit - Web Developer

This is a permanent role, based in London, posted October 16, 2012.

We need a junior Web Developer to help provide support to our client project team. You’ll get to work on major client websites like the BBC, John Lewis, Expedia and the Financial Times, helping their digital teams make sense of the Big Data era.

This is an excellent opportunity for a new graduate or someone in the early stages of their career. You’ll be joining a team packed with top technical talent who are more than happy to help with your development. QuBit is experiencing a very exciting period of growth, and this is a chance to join the team early.

Founded in 2010 by a team from Google’s London and New York offices, QuBit works with some of the biggest names in Online. Our engineers are building the next generation of customer intelligence tools, allowing eCommerce clients to analyse onsite user behaviour in more detail than ever before.

With our origins in Google, we place a great deal of importance on our lively and creative working culture. We have a talented team of engineers, analysts and marketers all working together to solve the problems of online businesses.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Troubleshooting and implementing our JavaScript tags, which are served to more than 1 billion monthly page impressions!
• Coding A/B and multivariate website tests in JavaScript for our client project team
• Engaging with our clients to understand their systems and data architecture, and providing troubleshooting and support to those clients

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Either a degree in Computer Science, Web Development or related discipline or at least 1 year of relevant work experience
• Proficient with JavaScript, some knowledge of JQuery would be highly beneficial
• Good AJAX, CSS, HTML and XHTML skills
• A strong communicator who is able to deal with clients in everyday and technical terms
• Troubleshooting experience

Salary

£26,000 - £30,000 + shares + insurance + bonus
