Quib.ly - Full Stack developer - VC backed start-up

Quib.ly is an ever-evolving collection of parenting wisdom that provides the most relevant information to parents' queries as they explore the world their children are exposed to.

Our mission is to help parents explore the opportunities and challenges of raising a well balanced child in a connected world by collecting the knowledge, opinions, experiences of million of parents and family experts and by delivering it to Quibly users based on interest as well as cultural and contextual relevance.

We are looking for a talented full stack developer to join our small team. If you are someone who can develop non-trivial applications by yourself, have strong affinity to agile development, and derive excellence from your talent and not from the domain experience of the tools you use, then we would like to hear from you.

Your experience:

Back-end

  • Ruby and Python, possibly with wider experience of modern languages like Node.js and Go
  • Strong knowledge of modern web frameworks like Ruby on Rails, Django, Pyramid etC.
  • Strong data architecture experience.
  • Security architecture competence.
  • Strong technical/solution architecture competence.

Front-end

  • Use of some modern JavaScript libraries / frameworks: jQuery, Coffeescript, Backbone, Angular, Knockout, Ember, etc.
  • Web and mobile: cross platform libraries like jQuery Mobile, Trigger.io, etc and responsive layouts.
  • Expert knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience as a software engineer leading development of web applications.
  • Full-stack web application development.
  • Proven track record leading small teams/projects to success.
  • Bachelor degree.
