Company Background:

Whilst at University, the current CEO of Infabode identified a gap between social media interaction and educational learning. Facebook provided a platform for informing you what your friends were doing and Twitter told you what celebrities were thinking about. By contrast, there were no real social links for educational topics, which are taught and learnt on a daily basis at universities across the world, no comprehensive feedback mechanisms for academics and students, and no way of finding all critical information in one place. This is what Infabode has set out to achieve. Infabode’s motto is ‘The Home of Information’ and with your help we want to turn this vision into reality.

Four investors backed the original idea and Infabode was formed as an online business in February 2012. In September we launched the site publically to a select few universities.

What’s Next for Infabode?

Infabode is currently still in the early stages of its development. We’ll continue to launch to more universities and work on expanding the service to more members, but the focus is also on improving existing features and creating innovative new ones.

The Job and Company Structure

There are four directors, including the CEO, five people who work part time on marketing, and two part time front-end web developers. The successful applicant for the Head Web Developer position will become the first full time employee at Infabode.

What We’re Looking for

We’re specifically looking for a Ruby on Rails Developer and you must have had experience in building Ruby on Rails websites. There is no minimum educational qualification requirement for this position but a minimum of three years of experience is essential. We need someone who can work full time from an office location in Dartford, although the plan is to eventually move offices, either within Kent or to London. A travel allowance will be included in the financial package.

What’s the Offer?

A competitive basic salary will be offered, dependent upon your skill and experience as a Ruby on Rails web developer. Bonus payments, based on both yours and the company’s performance will also be considered. Shares in the company may be offered to the right candidate.
