London | Permanent, full time | £22,000 - £28,000

We are looking for a talented Junior Web Designer to join our growing web development team based in London. We design and develop exciting websites and popular online services; we are looking for a junior who has potential to strengthen our team for the future.

The role

As a junior web designer you will be at the centre of the action working with our friendly design and development team to design fantastic new websites and help to conceive sensational user experiences. You will be required to learn our working practices and will quickly begin designing websites and projects for our clients under the direction of our senior designer. Occasionally you will also be required to help with certain elements of website production which are appropriate for your skillset.

We do not expect you to be familiar with the specific platforms we work in and we will provide training.

Responsibilities

• Design new websites under the direction of our senior designer
• Modify existing designs according to client requirements
• Ensure designs are delivered to a high standard and assist the development team to check that the end results match our designs
• Research existing design and interfaces for individual projects
• Help with support and enquiries from existing and potential clients

Skills

• Fluent with graphics software such as Photoshop or Fireworks
• Strong focus on design trends, enthusiasm to be ahead of the curve
• Very keen eye for detail and quality control, patience is essential
• Some experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript would be beneficial

Salary: Starting at £22,000 - £28,000 depending on portfolio and experience.
